About Me

CURRENT MISSION?

Live the dream! Travel and meet people.

ABOUT ME

I'm a fun dude who loves a good adventure and a good book. I want to retire early, hitchhike Canada and couchsurf in Kazakhstan.

PHILOSOPHY

Philippians 2:3-4: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a few times in the US and Canada by myself and with my brothers, and helped my oldest bro host some German CSers! I do my best to spread the word and at least encourage people to go to hostels over hotels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As mentioned above, I've couchsurfed in PA, SC, NY, HI, and Canada. I've met CSers in hostels across Europe and Canada and loved talking to them!

Interests

I love to read articles, go to the gym, find new places and eating stupidly healthy food. I enjoy warm climates, being out in the middle of nowhere with nowhere to be, and the occasional feta cheese bedazzled salad.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Catch-22, Eragon series, the Hobbit, Tom Clancy books, Shooter, Delta Force, Redwall, polish Donald Duck comics and French Asterix et Obelix comics, In Defense of Food, Wojciech Cejrowski books, God's Favorite Place on Earth

Music: Mostly around electronic music and mashups or remixes (go Soundcloud!) but overall eclectic. Soundtracks for studying, Lochloosa and Jack Johnson for chilling on the porch or walkin' around a quarry on a lazy summer day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

No itinerary- traveled for a month from NYC to Seoul, Korea then to Anchorage, AK and all the way back home using military flights.

I know it said one amazing thing, but I hitchhiked 4400 kilometers across Canada in just over a week :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach you a 1 minute crash course on hitchhiking, talk about biomechanics/proper form for weightlifting, answer any nursing/medicine questions I can cook and share a healthy, home cooked meal with you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cook you a simple but hearty meal and pitch in hard work to help you clean, do a project, get something dirty done or just chat and enjoy some face time without phones and other stuff distracting everyone.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Japan, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Netherlands, Poland, South Korea, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
