About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the U.S. while working. Mostly, driving around to my new work locations every few months!

ABOUT ME

My name is Jefferson. Like the president.

I try not to fit any stereotypes, and I don’t like it when people perceive me to fit a certain stereotype. I just want to do what makes me happy.

My brain tells me to follow logic, but my heart says that I should trust my feelings. I’ve spent years feeling sometimes satisfied following logic, but every time I follow my heart, I have no regrets. I think I’ll stick with following my heart.

My favorite color is green. I love being in the outdoors. My Chacos are my favorite thing to wear. I think everything better when done in the nude. Therefore, my happiest moment would probably be doing something outdoors in nothing but green Chacos. Don’t worry, it will happen.

I have a few major goals. One is to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. Another is to live in a sustainable tree house village in Costa Rica named Finca Bellavista.

I don’t plan to live places because my job will take me there. I plan to live in the places I want to live and finding a job there.

I’m also not afraid to talk about my personal life. Really, I’m an open book.

I don’t really like movies. The only time I do is when it makes me think. I like books and stories, but I don’t know if I really love reading.

Sage is my favorite herb.

There aren’t a lot of things I love, but the things I love, I’m passionate about.

I believe strongly in humanism ideals, but I don’t think I’m a secular humanist. I think every person has an infinite amount of worth, and individuals come before anything else. I think people are generally good, but make bad decisions because they have worthy needs that need to be filled, but they go about filling those needs in the wrong ways.

I’m kind of granola. I really want to eat healthy and natural as much as possible. I don’t eat red meat, and don’t really eat a lot of meat in general. I try to be eco-friendly. I tend to lean to the left politically. I like tweed, herbal tea, and granola, (especially my homemade recipe). Perhaps I spend too much time in coffee shops and listening to music most people haven’t listened to. And maybe I like nature a little too much. And hemp. And natural/organic things. And buying local. And so many other things that make me granola.

I love the outdoors and wish I could spend all my time in nature. It is one of the only places I feel complete.

PHILOSOPHY

“Civilization is the process in which one gradually increases the number of people included in the term ‘we’ or ‘us’ and at the same time decreases those labeled ‘you’ or ‘them’ until that category has no one left in it.” - Howard Winters
