ABOUT ME

I'm a Canadian living in the UK. I left Canada when I was 23 and have been living abroad for 19 years. Some of which was in Japan, but most of which here in the UK based in Milton Keynes. I've had the privilege of surfing many a couch and have benefited from the kindness of strangers many times...time to give something back. I'm predominantly a primary school teacher but I have many jobs atm! I run my own little business and teach rock climbing as a freelance instructor (my summer job). I'm also a semi pro musician (which basically means I sometimes get paid), I host and run my own open mic night in Newport Pagnell (called the Sunset Lounge) and am band leader for Jet Lagged Jeff and the Swamp Donkeys. I head to Wales every chance I get to get in some scrambling and multi-pitch trad climbing. I love all animals and am a very tidy, polite and quiet house guest.

I'm currently working a job that requires me to travel this summer. I'm a school teacher but have taken on extra work this summer teaching rock climbing to children at various schools around England. I'm using the opportunity to visit cities I may not have had the chance to yet and meet like minded people. I'm looking for couches to crash on that don't mind me arriving around 8 in the evening and heading out the next morning for about 7 or 8.
