Hellloooo everyone! My name is Jelena and I was born and raised in Bjelovar, city full of greenery and forests which is located 80ish km from capital city Zagreb where I now live in my favorite 15 square meters apartment. I'm social work student and I'm mostly involved in the areas of human rights, LGBTQ+ and women's empowerment. And also, I'm full into traveling (of course), vinyl collection, festivals and concerts. I'm definitely in favor of the idea of having a few beers, sharing experiences and hanging out at goodsounded concerts. 😎😇😋

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CS because I really like getting out of my comfort zone and I think it's a great site for discovering new cultures and places through meeting hospitable locals. One weird thing (probably professional deformation haha) is that I'm interested in social problems and political regimes of each country. And of course, I love languages and it's really great that I can improve my vocabulary in this way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Because of social work studies, I had opportunity to provide support and work with homeless people, children from the orphanage and victims of domestic violence. It's definitely rough, but situations like that are the only that drive me and I will always do everything just to see progress and solve problems.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a lot of Croatian recipes and bands (especially punk) and I can show the basics of sign language. Sometimes I pick up my boyfriend with me on adventures 😁
