Hi everyone!

My name is Jelmer but while traveling go by as Jay. I always do my best to be a open and caring person and this often results in lots of rewarding encounters. I like it when people are direct in a social way and say what they want. I like joining spontaneous ideas and I am not shy of doing something I might not had planned.

In my daily life I play the piano and study at a conservatory in relative small city in the east of the Netherlands.
The last couple years I used to perform a lot with bands unfortunately due to a injury I now have to take some rest of intensive playing. Now I have some time to get out of my small town in the Netherlands and can't wait to visit new places and meet new people.

This summer I will be making my first long trip alone. I am planning on travelling through almost whole Europe and its neighbours lands as Morocco and Turkey. I am also going to try serious hitchhiking for the first time. So with that I am a little nervous but most of all very excited to make this trip.

I hear a lot of great stories about CS from friends. I joined CS two years ago but unfortunately have not hosted anyone yet. I guess Zwolle(The city I live in) is not a very attractive/common destination.

兴趣

I am a fan of art and culture. I love watching art, visiting concerts, musea, theater as well as making art. Music is a big part of my life and I can make or listen to music all day. Besides this I love to visit nature. The silence helps me to give me some rest in my mind and the beauty of nature is fulfilling. I also really enjoy food and cooking :)
