ABOUT ME

Hi I'm Jem! Corporate slave during the day. At nights I play/train for Ultimate("Frisbee" for non-Ultimate folks). On weekends and days off I am usually backpacking/traveling, playing competitive Ultimate wherever region the tournament is in, getting lost in the outdoors chilling in my hammock, or on some occasions stuck indoors. Basic life philosophy: Be appreciative of the outdoors and see the beauty of nature, go travel and meet people from all walks of life and learn from other cultures. I'm up for anything really. So many things to do so little time. I do a little bit of everything. I think travelling is great as you get to experience cultures different from your own and see how vast and beautiful the world is. Bitten by the travel bug since I was 4!

None as of the moment because something always pops up last minute but met a lot of cool travellers from all over the world during the past 8 years or so.

Music, Movies, and Books

indie(Deathcab, iron&wine etc etc), Jack Johnson, Oasis..that kind of music. I like music of all genres depends on my mood. Books: mostly fiction novels that's about life and about self-realization.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tore my acl in 2014 while competing at a national tournament for Ultimate. Same year I lost my mom to cancer(fuck cancer!) and was under shit ton of anxiety and depression. I got surgery a couple months after and had time to reflect about life and where I am at. A year after that I tried out and played for the Philippine Mixed Team and competed in Hong Kong during the Asia-Oceanic Ultimate Championships held once every 4 years.

So wherever you are at in life know that every bad situation is temporary and there will always be a better road leading to where you are meant to be or where you want to be.

Philippine Culture! I've been to most places in the Philippines and would love to share what my beautiful country has to offer.
