Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

The further i travel, the less i know.

ABOUT ME

I love to travel, to meet new people and to learn new things about the incredibly diverse and fascinating world we live in. Life for me is about exploration, adventure, love and kindness. I can't live without these things in my life and hope to help encourage them in other people's lives.

I'm easy going but passionate. I like to spend a lot of time in the places i travel to. So i usually end up living somewhere. For me its not about how many countries you visit but about the depth of the experience you have in these places.

I see life as an experiment in living and believe that trying new things, even if you discover you don't like them, is always a good thing. I've learned through my travels that some of the hardest times in life can be seen as the most rewarding, memorable and life changing. You got to keep on pushing :D

PHILOSOPHY

Gaia. Eco-philosophies. Respect for all of life.

I try to live life with a sense of adventure and wonder. I also try to look fully and honestly at reality with all its suffering and despair, with all its joy and bliss, with all its meaning and meaninglessness.

Música, películas y libros

Too many to name.

In terms of music, i like world music, electro-funk/dub-reggae/conscious hip-hop/soul-afro beats, gypsy jazz-folk/indy-experimental rock/ (If you're interested in some New Zealand bands/producers check out Shapeshifter, Salmonella dub, Tiki, Ladi6, Sola Rosa, Module, Electric Wire Hustle, The Blackseeds, Fat freddy's drop, Flight of the Concords, Phoenix Foundation...etc). I love live music!!!!

Films i like are usually documentaries, foreign and alternative films. A few excellent Kiwi films are 'Heavenly Creatures', 'Once were Warriors', 'The Piano' and obviously 'Lord of the Rings'. I also love films in Spanish such as 'Amore es Perros', 'Todo Sobre me Madre' and 'Habla con Ella', 'Pan's Labyrinth'.....Oh and lately, Mary and Max, Coraline, Ponyo on the cliff, The Fantasitc Mr Fox, The Escapist, In Bruges, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.....

Some interesting books i read while traveling in India were 'Shalimar the Clown' by Salman Rushdie, 'Jitterbug perfume' by Tom Robbins, 'Shantaram' by David Gregory Roberts and a 'Fine Balance' by Rohinton Mistry. Other Authors i also like are Herman Hesse, George Orwell, Haruki Murikami, Dave Eggers, Ben Okri, etc. I also like a good non-fiction; political, scientific or sociological.
My favorite "spiritual" book would have to be Carl Jung's autobiography. You must read it!

Algo increíble que he hecho

Hitchhiking from Mexico city to Nicaragua and back again. Climbing volcanoes, getting swept out to sea in kayaks.....I ended up living in the "slums" in Mexico city for 3 months with a family and had an unforgettable time.

There are too many things to write. But if i meet you im sure we can talk about this kind of stuff. Im really interested in what you have seen and done on your travels! ???

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Everyone and everything has something to teach (Not just humans, but all living things!). All you need to do is take time and listen with all your senses.
Learn what you can while you are here on earth and share it with others. Respect other beings and they will respect you. We are all students and teachers....

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

First and most important: Love, compassion, and maybe a helping hand :D I can share my love and collection of amazing movies, music and documentaries. I have much knowledge of cuisine and the love of food to share, as well as circus skills (juggling, contact, poi, hoop ect). As well, i can share my experiences, advise and stories of global travels. What inspires me now is permaculture living, enviro-activism, meditation, yoga and being part of the positive change ..ect...
