About Me
CURRENT MISSION
lets figure this all out together!
ABOUT ME
Im emily, a former hot dog vendor, sandwich maker, and student turned English teacher from the great city of San Francisco. I have most recently been living in San Francisco (where i spent my crazy university years), after a trip to Thailand and around South East Asia doing various things like teaching english and leather making! I fell in love with the humidity and beautiful faces and can not wait to be back there someday very soon. I love to be outside, whether on the roof overlooking the ventilation from our friendly russian bakery neighbors, or finding a nice quiet spot away from the hustle and the bustle. I also like to knit more than your grandma. Now, because of this restless feet syndrome, I am sitting in the Melbourne Airport, about to begin my year long working holiday visa experience. Can not wait to explore Australia and meet more incredible people! Plan is to stay in Melbourne for a bit, and continue onwards wherever new friends or (i guess i need to be honest about the monetary bit) job opportunities lead me.
PHILOSOPHY
To be a traveler, not a tourist
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By opening up our home to those who need somewhere to crash, as well as exploring the lives of people all over. To learn from everyone, and in a small way make the world a little bit more beautiful through cooperation and community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have hosted and learned a lot from the wonderful people stopping through. I have had nothing but positive experiences with each new person, learning and sharing in a an environment of "home". Meeting with people in different places to share a meal or a walk has been an incredible way to truly see a place. I cant wait to experience more!
