About Me

I'm from Sittingbourne, a town in Kent. Not a destination of choice for most but if your visiting Canterbury or London I'd love to meet up! I was raised by my french mother but somehow manged to come out with a beyond basic french vocabulary. I went to an all girls grammar school and worked part time in a call centre in my final year where I witnessed humanity at it's very worst (on the phone after being on hold) and lived to tell the tale. I went on a gap year to travel and save some money before committing myself to a biology degree. I aupaired in Beijing for half a year (which was amazing) then went back home and got a job at Mcdonalds (less amazing but a job is a job ;) ). I'm going to work as camp counsellor in Boston this summer then travel America and hopefully meet some great people along the way!:)
My bicycle is my main source of transport, I like taking cool science based futurelearn courses, I twist balloon animals, try and fail to keep up with comics and have a love of food that goes hand in hand with a love of cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really do hate these types of questions! :'D
I like all sorts of music and movies as long as they don't involve onedirection or straight up torture porn level horror.
I was a crazy book worm when I was a kid. In year 7 I would pretty much read a book a day. I read a lot less now that life has gotten busier. But, when I do, I still have to read to whole thing in one sitting. Reading has always been one of the things I've loved as you can create an entire world in your imagination and I think thats pretty cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was an Aupair in Beijing for 6 months. I had finished school two weeks before I left and it was the first time I had travelled alone, but I am so glad I did. I made great friends from all over the world, looked after one of the greatest kids ever every day and got to explore an awesome country! I lived with an 8 year old, with good English, her parents, who had poor English, and her grandparents who spoke no English. I started with no Mandarin and ended up be able to speak very basic Mandarin It was there that I discovered that you don't need to speak the same language to form meaningful relationships with people and its a lesson I think every should learn at some point in there lives. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories, teach you how to twist a whole bunch of balloon animals and make some killer pancakes!
