After 2 and a half years of travelling abroad it is time to recharge the travel-batteries, catch up with friends and family and make a home in Sydney

ABOUT ME

I (Jen) am a 30 year environmental scientist who is passionate about all things environmental and also social justice issues.
I love to travel, love meeting new people, seeing new places, hearing new music and eating new foods.

Jeff - I've just hit the big 3-0 and an environmental scientist and musician of the teach-yourself variety. I can stare at maps for hours on end thinking of all the places I'd love to go.

PHILOSOPHY

To live life and enjoy it. To combine having fun and running riot with making a difference in the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Late last we finished up our mammoth journey of the Americas with a road trip across the US in our trusty Chevrolet Van named 'Lola'. We met lots of friendly CSers along the way! In the past we have hosted friends and friends of friends informally. Now that we are back home and finally have a place, we - along with our 2 housemates - have started to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our introduction to couchsurfing in Toronto was nothing short of amazing. Had a fantastic host (and now fantastic friend!) for our first few days. Met lots of friends to chew the fat with and share a beer with at the TO weekly meet ups and events. Met a few CSers along the way on our epic USA road trip. Now back home we've hosted a spaniard, a scotsman, an argentinian and a couple of frenchies

Interested in so many things!
Listening to / writing / recording music, going to gigs and shows, burlesque, bellydancing, reading books, knitting scarves, hiking and being outdoors, learning languages, drinking wine,coffee and beer, eating exciting foods, hanging out with new friends, and more more more!!

Jen will read anything that stays still long enough, and jeff is currently journeying with Bilbo to the dragon's den.

Music - all sorts of stuff, but with a strong preference for independant and slightly alternate groups and songwriters. Best experienced live!

The most amazing thing we've done so far is to pack in our jobs, give away all our stuff and spend two and a half years travelling the globe

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Teach - guitar, principles and practices of environmental conservation.

Learn - Jen just recently got a violin, and now needs to learn how to play it!

Share - Good times! Delicious food! Tasty wine and home brewed beer!
