About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Backpacker Seeking Adventure, Friendship and Maybe a Couch to Crash On

ABOUT ME

Right now I'm working for an investment regulator and going to school full-time for an International Relations degree.

At the beginning of 2010 I left my job and went to school to get my Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). I travelled for 2 years and taught English in Central America and in the Republic of Georgia. I love travelling and meeting new people!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am on a quest to discover any and all great bands, I love getting new suggestions for every kind of music - it's so important to mix things up, especially when traveling

As for books - a few of my favorites are: The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky, Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Carl Sagan, Bill Bryson, John Irving...so many great books out there

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volcano-boarding in Leon (still have the scars to prove it); 6 chicken buses, a pick-up truck, a bus and a boat all in one crazy day; diving off balconies into Lake Atitlan; the amazing church in San Juan Chamula where they drink posh (moonshine) while chanting and waving chickens over pine needles and candles; 'supras' in a Georgian village; perogies in Poland; amazing desserts in Turkey...so many great experiences and hopefully many more to come

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak English and French fluently and am fairly conversational in Spanish. I know some American Sign Language and can hold a basic conversation in Georgian (Kartuli). I love helping others to learn and I'd like to try my hand at a few more languages.

Countries I’ve Visited
