ABOUT ME

I'm an eclectic person who laughs until my stomach hurts, dances until I can no longer stand and lives passionately with every fibre of my being.

I like getting dressed up and going out with my friends to do the crazy things people my age do but I can just as easily curl up with a book and read the evening away.

I believe in living life to the fullest, trying (most) things at least once and to always have an open mind. I guess that's how I justify jumping into some rap video during its shoot!

Overall, I'm a very outgoing and friendly person and will always try to make life as interesting and fulfilling as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a funny thing. We walk through it feeling invincible until one day everything is gone. Too often, we become blinded by the superficial things in life. We crave, we cry, we get so hung up on the small stuff that we lose sight of the big picture.

Sometimes I look at strangers around me and wonder what being them feels like. Everybody has a story and if only we'd share them, we'd realize that we're all the same. And it is perhaps with this realization that we'll all learn to treat one another better.

People say life is short but I believe life is what you make it. Live not for the quantity of years and materials but for the quality of experiences. This is what we've been given so make it count because all too soon you'll ponder over how fast time has flown.

So nothing lasts forever and thank goodness for that because something that doesn't change and grow is dead inside. Have an open mind and an open heart because if you choose to you can do great things.

And finally, although I may oftentimes think too much, as Descartes said "Cogito, ergo sum."

Interests

Travel: I wanna globetrot like it's my job.

Cultures: I love learning about new cultures whether it's through different things like religion or food...the latter of course being my preference. ;)

Baking and cooking: I tend to make enough sushi to feed a small village and have been known to bake cake at midnight. I like to feed people. I'm like the witch in Hansel and Gretel...except I'm not a hag and I won't eat you. :D

Books: I can admit I'm a bookworm...okay so maybe more than a little bit.

Writing: I am old fashion. Notebook diary; no web blog. Mail through the post; not electronic. I believe in the power of words and the strength of committing things to paper.

Politics: I'm passionate about politics and I "tremble with indignation at every injustice" so I guess I'm a friend of Che Guevara!

Languages: I can say "I love you" in ten different languages. I figure if I ever get stranded in a foreign country showing some love couldn't hurt...unless they get the wrong idea which might land me in a trade I never meant to get into...haha.
