I love traveling particularly around the United States. I married a more international traveler and am looking forward to exploring beyond these coasts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In past I hosted by proxy, meaning my roommate handled all the arrangements :)
I was introduced to couch-surfing while living in Albany, NY. I met so many amazing people in the couch surfing community in Albany and Troy, local people that hosted and visitors alike.
art ('street' or public art), reading, learning, roller skating, hula hooping, nature, amateur photography
Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to like nonfiction books. However more recently I have been on a beats writers kick (Kerouac, Burroughs, etc.).
I prefer upbeat, feel-good movies, action movies and documentaries.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing the Oregon-Pacific coast for the first time. The shoreline is so dramatic with beautiful green mountains that just cliff off into the ocean. The wave pools were teaming with life, large starfish, sea urchins, fish and puffins.
The peacefulness of the high desert in West Texas. It is open and vast. Hearing the wind over the land is very calming. I was also able to see the desert in bloom which was amazing. It is a fleeting season but a very beautiful sight.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach anyone how to hula hoop.
I am always looking to learn new things. I am particularly interested in languages.
