ABOUT ME

I am a friendly and spontaneous person who is very new to Montreal! My friends describe me as inclusive, optimistic and happy. I love being a student and can't wait to go back to school in the fall. I am spending my summer getting to know Montreal and hopefully making it my home. I love conversation, coffee shops, beers and meeting new people. I also love trying new activities and will try almost anything once. I like to discuss anything language, psychology, sociology, culture, sexuality, medicine, philosophy and morality.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it's important to be passionate about your interests. I always jump into activities head first and often fall in love and get over involved. I'm learning to have more balance, but why not pick something and give it your best shot?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to be an activity partner for outdoors activities, brief outings, dining, drinking, pool-playing, exploring, coffee-sipping and all-round discussion having! I know few people in the Montreal area and I know if I can meet people with an idea of where to go, I'll enjoy my time here more and get to know the city a whole lot quicker!

I like biking, exploring, walking in parks, camping, swimming, shopping/thrifting or bar hopping or just having beers on decks with friends in my spare time. I am also trying to learn to play guitar right now.

Movies: anything not gore or fluffy romance. Music: preferably indie-style, rock, acoustic and oldies. Books: making my way through modern and classic literature, but i'd love to get more into non-fiction books.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I went white-water-kayaking a couple years ago. I had only been kayaking a handful of times, so it was pretty stupid to try going down a class 3 rapid on my first day. I did it, I toppled right at the top, and didn't come back up til the bottom. Funny how time slows down in those situations, I can recount every bump and every thought the whole way down!

I have language skills I hardly use. My degree is in Psychology and Language and I love to talk about both topics. I can offer English language help, accent or vocabulary help or even just someone to talk to who is very non-judgemental and unbiased. I am also a first aid and swim instructor and have been trained in different child-care techniques.
