Overview
About Me
I made a promise to myself when I was 25 that no matter what happens to me in life I will travel at least every 5 years. So, far I have kept the promise.
I'm grateful, and adaptable.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
People who work in the social services in America do not make a lot of money. No matter how much I save, I have never been able to afford extravagant trips. Consequently, I have learned that possibly my favorite thing about traveling is getting to meet the locals. I have often volunteered on farms or stayed with friends and family abroad. I appreciate the opportunity to live and work in a completely different mindset for a few weeks so much more than trying to elbow my way through a sea of tourists.
Interests
I love sharing meals and good conversation. I am interested in cultural quirks and the personal interests of my host house. I like natural wonders and local favorites. I have been known to enjoy mundane activities while traveling like people watching and hanging out at the library. I am interested art, traditions and trades, generational knowledge, literature and movies.
