About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world and decide what I'd like to do with my life!

ABOUT ME

I'm a country girl at heart, but have been living in the "big smoke" of Melbourne, Australia for the past eight years. I've studied at uni and travelled over the past few years, but now that I've finished my course, I've packed up my life in Aust, got myself some visas and am following my spirit of adventure... which seems to be taking me to eastern Europe and the UK.

I love trying to get a feel for local culture when I travel, so when a friend recommended couch surfing to me, I was very excited.

PHILOSOPHY

It is not unique, but I think you should try and live each day to the fullest and cherish each moment. Try to be thankful for what you have. Don't live with regrets as we all make the best choices we can at the time. And, of course, keep trying new things.

Interests

Lots of things including bushwalking and nature, social history, literature, cooking and sport (especially Australian footy and cricket).

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge Beatles fan and I love '60s music.
I like Jane Austen's novels and my best read of late would be the "God of Small Things".
I'm a sucker for a romantic comedy movie, but I also enjoy movie that 'mess with your mind' like Donnie Darko or Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We visited the ruins at My Son in Vietnam in the early hours of the morning when the tourists hadn't arrived yet and the mists were still lifting from the deep green jungle and mountains. It was a magical experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not too bad at cooking and know a bit about psychology, having studied it for many years at uni.
