CURRENT MISSION

After getting a "real job" and settling in for 2 years as an accountant, I've decided that it's time to uproot my life and travel the world, China being the first stop. The trip I'm planning would be a long-term backpacking trip, and I hope to couchsurf most of the way in order to meet as many people as I can.

I chose China because I am considering moving there to teach, and I want to get a good taste of all corners of it.

ABOUT ME

I have a Political Science degree, but you're more likely to find me dancing and singing to cheesy pop music in my kitchen than talking about politics.

I'm an ENFP, so I'm a true people person. I'm not an extreme extrovert, though, so I am simultaneously someone who loves to talk to others and socialize and someone who loves her own personal quiet time.

PHILOSOPHY

Whenever I consider trying something new or jumping into a new experience, the thing I ask myself is: why not?

If I have a legitimate reason for not doing it, then I won't; otherwise, I've been known to just go for it (like buying my plane ticket to New Zealand!)

The thing I'm most interested in at this stage in my life is experiencing new things and trying things that other people are interested in. Whether it be new foods, new cultures, or new hobbies, I'm willing to try anything once.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just recently traveled across the United States on a four month-long 'business road trip' with two of my friends who are artists. We saw almost every corner of the country and it was unforgettable. The vastly differing landscapes are something I never even thought of when I considered my home country, but it is completely worth exploring.
