About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Singing as much karaoke as possible!

ABOUT ME

I'm a dual US/UK citizen living in London. I grew up in the UK, spend my 4 University years in the US, taught for a year in Japan, and then came back to the UK to live (for now!). I love to travel and squeeze every holiday out of my work time that I can. I work in taxes, but I swear I'm not boring! Really, I'm not, I promise!

I like to go out or stay in, to sit around and talk for hours, and to play cards.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm most concerned with making connections with people and having great personal relationships. I figure everything else will fall into place around that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a few times and hosted quite a bit, and it's all been good! I've met some really great friends through CS, so I'm happy to host people in London.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll try anything once! I love to read, I love music and films, so if someone recommends it, I'm always willing to try. The only thing I'm not big on is horror.

Teach, Learn, Share

Extra note on London Transport: As far as public transport goes, if you're going to be in the city any longer than a day, I would recommend getting an Oyster card rather than messing around with day passes and such. It takes the decisions out of your hands, and electronically finds the most cost-efficient fares, capping at 50p less than the daily limit for a day pass. You can use them on tube/bus/trams/DLR & overground trains within London. You will have to pay a deposit of £3 for the card, which you'll get back when you turn it in. They'll also refund up to £10 at that time, so don't worry if you put too much money on it.
