ABOUT ME

Well I was born. Each year became more interested in getting outta here (at one point I even wanted to go to BOARDING SCHOOL to try something new!!!)(what.)

Travel/volunteer/work abroad is what I REALLY want to do. People didn't understand when I went to China to teach or when I applied to the Peace Corps. I'm pretty sure I'm that "weird international girl" to them. Oh well!

Am in the process of getting a divorce that I don't want. But I guess that means I can travel more.

Besides learning about all the various cultures and locations, I really REALLY want to try all the foods around the world! Yep, anything. Almost anything. No giant worms please. And no warthog anus (yup, Bourdain ate it in Namibia)

Basically, I'm a dork, quiet, want to travel, want to find new food, and trying to figure out what to do with my dog. I'm 27, live at home (thank you divorce), and am currently unemployed. What. The Fuck. Happened.

In China, finally hitting that point where my students and I were so comfortable with each other, we knew we could talk and joke with each other and just be silly. Amazing.

Also, seeing that concept really take hold and make sense to my students--seeing their eyes light up and then want to know even more...insanely amazing

Hrm....I really don't know.

I guess just don't trap yourself. *especially* for someone else. I did it already. Don't do it. While you shouldn't be *selfish* you should find a life that is independently yours, and if you find someone along the way--make sure it is compatible with theirs.
