ABOUT ME

I try to always keep learning, whether it be about the world, about people, or about myself. I listen, and I learn.

I approach life with an easygoing attitude, but sometimes I get caught up in a whirlwind of stress as if sucked in, and I have to step back, "whoa Jenny, calm dowwwn." Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. Eh, Hakuna Mattata.

Make me laugh, and I'll be happy. I enjoy surrounding myself with loving people, whether it's in the workplace, out and about, or just hanging out at home. Sometimes I think about life and what I want out of it, and sometimes I turn up the music and throw myself a personal dance party. Sometimes I do both of those things at the same time.

Interests

I enjoy working and volunteering at Tulsa Girls Art School, an after school art school for underserved girls in Tulsa's inner-city. I enjoy reading, and cooking, and being around my friends and family. My family means the most in the entire world to me. I love a good meal, whether it be from a sit-down restaurant, a stand on the street, or my own kitchen. I love being silly and just laughing- there is no better stress relief. I tend to collect random things; and I like to surround myself with things that make me happy always.

Music- Bon Iver, Beach House, The Avett Brothers, Miike Snow, Heart, Ray Charles, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Andrew Bird, Lady GaGa, Bright Eyes. It's really all over the map, depending on my mood and activity.

Books- American Gods, Neil Gaiman; A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Dave Eggers; The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, Michael Chabon; Catch-22, Joseph Heller. And whatever I just finished, generally.

Movies- Crash, Milk, Proof, The Blind Side, Love and Other Drugs, Love Actually, Stranger Than Fiction, The Constant Gardener, The Soloist.
