ABOUT ME

I've been all over the place since I graduated from Indiana University last December. I worked at a ski resort in Colorado so I could learn how to snowboard and fell in love with the mountains. This summer I spent in Adirondack State Park in New York working on trails, living in the woods, and sleeping under the stars. I'm not sure where my life will take me next, but I know it will involve traveling and the outdoors. I'm a fun loving person who is always looking for a new adventure. I'll try anything once, whether it be a new food or a new outdoor activity. I like to meet new people and believe that you learn something from everyone you meet. I get along easily with everyone, am easy going, and extremely flexible. I'm just waiting to see where life takes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a few times, and will hopefully be doing more sleeping on couches in the near future. I haven't been in a place for longer than a few months, but now that I'll be a little more stable I would love to meet people for coffee or drinks and show them around!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got to couchsurf with Honzo in Vienna and Tomas in Prague- both of which were great experiences! Very last minute, because our plans got changed, but they were so accommodating and nice. Hope I can host someone soon!

Interests

Anything outdoor--running, hiking, swimming, biking; I just finished my first full marathon, next on my list is a triathlon. I've always wanted to skydive and paraglide. Hopefully going to be an excellent skier soon. Geo-caching, exploring, visiting new places. I'm too restless to stay in one place for too long.I also enjoy cooking, reading, meeting new people and will try anything once.

I'm open to anything; I love to read and listen to music. books: my favorite is the count of monte cristo. also love adventure books and everything by jon krakauer (into the wild, into thin air)music: I like the oldies, old school rock, jazz, country. you name it. rascal flatts, aerosmith, bon jovi, dave matthews, carrie underwood, tim mcgraw, garth brooks, the beatles

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked in the Grand Canyon and watched the sunrise. Beautiful.I've traveled Europe for 6 months and met people from around the world that I consider great friends.I worked on a trail crew for a summer and slept in the woods for 5 months while building bridges and rock walls.

Teach, Learn, Share

i love to cook: just throw ingredients in a pan and see what happens! i'm also a pretty decent baker. also, not sure if this can be taught, but i love to run with people! such a fun way to get to know them better.i'd love to learn more about photography. i have always been interested, but have never taken a class in it. i would really like to get more into rock climbing and snowboarding, or really any other outdoor activites (kayaking, hiking, etc.)
