About Me
Hey what’s up, I’m jenna! I’m an American from Colorado currently living in Paris as an au pair (basically a nanny that also teaches English) as something to do before I head to uni.
I grew up overseas and moved around the world with my family during my childhood, so I naturally love to travel and explore.
I LOVE animals, cooking, baking, hiking, etc.
Oh yeah and I hate Donald Trump.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling and meeting new people, and I’d much rather travel like a local than like a tourist. I can’t host anyone this year, as I’m living with a host family myself! When I move back home to Colorado in the summer, I’d love to start hosting. I’m only making pocket money this year, so Couchsurfing seems like the most financially reasonable way to travel and also make connections around the world :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all types of music, except for country (if you’re American - you know what I mean), but some of my favorite groups/artists are Phoenix, Mac Demarco, Fleetwood Mac, Frank Ocean, and A$AP Mob. I grew up on The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, and classic stuff like that - it’s all incredible.
A goal of mine is to read 40 books this year, so I’m open to recommendations! I love books about society/humanity (like Ray Bradbury, Albert Camus, etc) but also classic stories from authors like Dickens. I’m open to all.
Movies: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Valley Uprising, Into The Wild, The Truman Show
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m currently learning French - through the kids I live with and also some courses.
This year, I want to learn how to read sheet music and play piano, and be fluent in french.
I can teach you how to play chess, and that’s pretty much it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I LOVE to cook and bake. I’m a pescatarian so the only meat I eat is fish (one day I’m striving to be 100% vegan, but living with a host family makes that a bit difficult).
