Hello there !
We are Solène and Jenna, two friends and former roomates traveling through Europe together ! Between December 2023 and April 2024, we are planning to visit Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany.
We both come from artistic worlds and want to work in cinema, so exploring new scenic views and environments are always a pleasure and blessing to us.
We are currently taking time for ourselves in order to discover the world around us and the people in it, as well as discovering ourselves !

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Jenna:
I have always been moving in my life, I cannot stay in one spot, or in one city, I NEED to travel. This includes meeting new people everywhere, spontaneously or not, opening myself to new horizons, cultures, personalities !
I am on Couchsurfing to move from place to place, from day to day, and visit cities through the eyes of their inhabitants, because how else ?

Solène: I think that travelling is not staying in hotel rooms and going to the most famous spots. I want to live with the people where I go, eat what they eat, drink what they drink, listen to their language and their music. As my grandmother (the greatest traveller I know) always says: "The most memorable trips are the unexpected ones"

Jenna:
Baz Luhrmann's esthetic (Moulin-Rouge), or more psychologic movies such as Truman Show or Shutter Island.
I am very curious in music, and enjoy to discover new artists constantly, but i must say classic rock always works on me. Right now, listening more to Tamino.
I read a lot of theater, so Shakespeare is always close to my heart, but I also enjoy short novels or poetry.

Solène:
I loooove movies (otherwise I wouldn't have studied them). Every genre, every period, every style. I also listen to a lot of different kinds of music (very eclectic) , like olddies jazz, rock, girly pop, alt...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Jenna:
In 2007, my parents organized the trip of their lives, in which they included my two sisters and me, still children (from 2 to 7yo). We left for a whole year touring the Atlantic on our sailing boat, leaving from the south of France and passing through Spain, Morocco, Canaries Islands, Venezuela, Caribbean Islands...
I was very young, but I keep a very positive and impactful memory, and eyes full of stars.

Solène:
In general, one of the most intense things I did in my life was the Cannes Film Festival. It's so exhausting, and all the feelings meet each other in front of movies, stars, people I've met, etc. But, I think the most striking thing I've ever seen is Nefertari's tomb in Egypt. The show was so spectacular I thought about it for weeks after

We are French and globally fluent in English, so we can help to learn those, as well as piano that I (Jenna) played for 6 years !
I (Jenna) really wish to become fluent in Spanish so I'm eager to learn it with you if you speak it !

I (Solène) can teach you French because I give class online to children and adults, and I'm pretty good in photography if you want some bases :)

We wish to meet new people that have the same burning desire to move, and learn their stories all along. We cannot wait to try different dish of every place we visit, as well as traditions that changes from a country to another !
