Hello all!
I’ve been on the road for a bit over a year now, and have heard so many positive couchsurfing stories from fellow travelers that I decided I must join the fun. I’m 25 and originally from the US, where I’ve lived all across the West. I spent the past school year traveling and teaching in Asia and now I am working my way through the Balkan region!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m usually traveling alone, and much as I love the autonomy and challenge of this, I also love to share experiences! For me, not much can beat a night where my family or friends are around one table (or picnic basket), sharing food and drink and laughs. Time and time again, it’s the people I meet that make me remember or want to come back to various parts of the world. I love the human connection, love learning about different ways of life and thinking, and just like having the insight into a local’s world rather than just the backpacker trail. But you don’t have to share all this with me if you don’t want to! Totally up to you, and the generosity of this platform continues to amaze me.

Music - An erratic collection of favorites such as PHOX, Anderson Paak, Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, Maggie Rogers, Alabama Shakes, John Prine, Joe Pug, Bahamas, Mandolin Orange. I love any and all blues and funk music when it’s played live, I like dancing to bluegrass, and I know an alarming and slightly embarrassing number of Arctic Monkeys songs by heart.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to cook for you, help in any way that you need whether it be cleaning or gardening or taking the dog for a walk! I can share stories and travel advice if you are interested in visiting places I’ve been, can happily give any English lessons if you’d like, and can teach you to cook traditional Southwest American food. I also do freelance copywriting and digital marketing, so if you need help with anything media related I can possibly be helpful!
