Overview
About Me
I used to get to travel a lot more and miss it immensely. Now that I've got a secured job, apartment, life, etc., I try to get out of my world a few times per year to see friends in far off places or remind myself that adventure still exists if you go for it. I'm pretty idealistic with an adventurous heart and look forward to exploring the world and meeting new people again. If I happen upon your couch, I'll be open to conversation and learning, but am also pretty happy just to wander in silent bliss. I'm a good house guest - atrociously clean - and very polite. I may have a beer, but won't be that drunk girl. No drugs either, just innate wonder and probably some curiosity in your space. That is my day-job after all. ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I find hotels somewhat stifling, hostels can be party-towns, and Airbnb is becoming more like a hotel. I like how simple CS makes it to travel without that nonsense. Just a couch and a place for my things, perhaps a shower (please), and good conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really like John Steinbeck, Kurt Vonnegut, P.D. James, some philosophy/history, non-fiction everything else. I like reading to learn. As for music, probably the Flaming Lips, Black Keys/Dan Auerbach, Joanna Newsom, Chopin, anything emotive. Movies, similar vibes to music and books, indie films if in the right mood, stupid funny if after a long day, blockbuster action if I see it on the big screen, but usually something thought-provoking.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not given up.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play some piano, maybe how to run without hurting yourself, I'm good at physical stuff so if you wanted to move that dresser - just ask. I like learning languages and cultures most so if you're from a place other than where I'm from (i.e. the midwest), I'll be pretty interested in you. Not like that, I'm just naturally curious in the non-familiar.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Music, stories, books to read, films to watch, cultural nuances of some of the places I've been, maybe a laugh if you are okay with some goofy sarcasm.
