ABOUT ME

I love life.

PHILOSOPHY

Here are some of my favorite quotes:

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.
~Steve Jobs

If you don't do it this year, you'll be one year older when you do.
~Warren Miller

Life is indeed dangerous, but not in the way morality would have us believe. It is indeed unmanageable, but the essence of it is not a battle. It is unmanageable because it is a romance, and its essence is romantic beauty.
~ E.M. Forster

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
~Albert Einstein

"The world can only be grasped by action, not by contemplation. The hand is more important than the eye. The hand is the cutting edge of the mind."
~J. Bronowski -the ascent of man

"After a certain high level of technical skill is achieved, science and art tend to coalesce in esthetics, plasticity, and form. The greatest scientists are always artists as well."
~Albert Einstein

"All paid jobs absorb and degrade the mind."
~Aristotle

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
~Margaret Mead

"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage"
~Anais Nin

"For I believe that climate does thus react on man; as there is something in the mountain air that feeds the spirit and inspires"
~Henry David Thoreau, Walking

"If anything is to be really done in the world, it must be done by visionaries; men who see the future, and make the future because they see it.
~Benjamin Disraeli

"Grief can take care of itself, but to get the full value of a joy you must have somebody to divide it with."
~Mark Twain

"Goals are a means to an end, not the ultimate purpose of our lives. They are simply a tool to concentrate our focus and move us in a direction. The only reason we really pursue goals is to cause ourselves to expand and grow. Achieving goals by themselves will never make us happy in the long term; it's who you become, as you overcome the obstacles necessary to achieve your goals, that can give you the deepest and most long-lasting sense of fulfillment."
~Anthony Robbins

In science it often happens that scientists say, "You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken," and then they actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion.
~Carl Sagan, 1987

"Be Content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you."
~ Lao Tzu

"The world is all gates, all opportunities, strings of tension waiting to be struck."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Sometimes, I look for something that is particularly ugly, and I make an effort to see something beautiful in it. I have found, over the years, that everything I once took for granted - every sun rise, every autumn tree, every intricate shadow - is now stunningly beautiful, and makes my life that much more enjoyable."
~ Zeb Reynalds

“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is not safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
~Helen Keller

"The world is but a canvas to the imagination."
~Henry David Thoreau

"Creativity is a drug I cannot live without."
~Cecil B. DeMille
