About Me
CURRENT MISSION
This summer is all about exploring the West Coast and figuring out where I want to live next! I recently quit my job at a tech company in Nashville
ABOUT ME
I love visiting new cities and seeing them through the eyes of the locals, whether I'm traveling solo or with friends. I want to experience the world outside of my own home, hopefully learning more about myself in the process. After a few years of hosting many a touring musician at my home in Nashville, I'm turning the tables and traveling around the country on my own. I love finding new music (most recently Caravan Palace. SO GREAT!) and sharing it with anyone around me - not much of a movie person but I'm trying to improve on that! - I love to cook; the thing I miss most about being home is the dinner parties we had at least once a week! If I stay with you, you might find a homemade peanut butter cup pie or banana pudding on the counter one day - I love fashion, sewing, and making belly dance costumes for myself (need a stylist?) - I also make hula hoops. I'm told by a recent host that I don't have any annoying habits but it is jarring that I use southern words/sayings like "fixins" without a southern accent. ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been hosting couch surfers outside of this site for the last 5 years; I lived in Nashville and there are always musicians passing through who need a couch for a night or two. Now that I'm traveling, I hope to create a new community of friends around the country through CS!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I spent the last 5 years living in Nashville, where we frequently hosted musicians who were passing through town. Because we had so many house guests through word of mouth I haven't used couchsurfing.com much, but am looking forward to meeting more folks through it! I almost always stay with friends (or friends-of-friends) or at a hostel when I travel. I like to settle into a place and experience it as a resident.

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently reading "Shop Class as Soulcraft". Loved Eat Pray Love and Hobo. Just saw Caravan Palace play in San Francisco and they were so. much. fun. Also listening to Whiskeytown, Space Capone, and soul tunes from back in the day (The Supremes, The Four Tops, Gladys Knight, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I just quit my job of 3 years and put all my things in storage to travel. That's probably the biggest leap I've taken in life (so far). :)
I found myself in the middle of a massive student protest in Puerto Rico once; it was an amazing experience..
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach people to cook veggie food, hula hoop, or belly dance! I can also talk til the cows come home about email marketing. ;)
