ABOUT ME
Who am I? 23 year old Brit. English teacher. Opera singer converted to pop. Piano player. Ex-rower. Marathon runner. Strident feminist. Postmodernist. A bad dancer with the right music and the wrong drinks. Optimist when things are going well, pessimist when they aren't. Compulsive filler of awkward silences.
PHILOSOPHY
Be friendly to everyone you encounter: you never know when a smile will salvage someone's day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Back in my old city of Göttingen I was a regular at meetings and was told that I was the one responsible for moving everyone from the pub to the club. 'Gehen wir aus...?' was my perpetual question.
Now I'm in Prague, my housemate and I are getting settled in before we start hosting... but soon!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I've only surfed once, but it was fantastic and I can't wait to do it again. Getting to know people is so much better than staying in a faceless, impersonal hotel. The CouchSurfing community in Göttingen was fantastic: I knew absolutely no one in Germany when I arrived there last September, but by the time I left in August pretty much everyone I knew I met through CouchSurfing, one way or another. Looking forward to keeping the good CS times rolling in Prague!

Music, Movies, and Books
As a former music student, my taste in music is pretty eclectic. I might not like everything, but I almost definitely have an opinion on it. Here are a few things which I currently can't stop listening to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've fulfilled the ultimate British stereotype: I've met and had a full conversation with the Queen of England, in Buckingham Palace, after I sang for her.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, singing, piano, cello (if you have one!), music theory or music history. And how to make the best chocolate brownies in the world. If you're lucky, I might even sing you an opera aria.
Teach me anything! I'm always trying to learn.
