Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always been fascinated with the couch-surfing app. I wanted to experience what getting connected with like-minded people would really be like so I finally decided to make a profile. We want to go on a real no-reservations-at-all go-with-the-flow vacation.

Interests

I love to practice yoga. We keep an organic garden. I have my college degree in drawing, and I love doing photorealistic portraits. I also paint, read, laugh, sing and dance as much as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently reading "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda. I love Herman Hesse, Kurt Vonnegut, and Arthur C. Clarke. I have always read voraciously.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have accomplished is keeping my heart open to life and love after living through a difficult story. I think of each new day as an opportunity for personal growth and adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to see more of the world. My boyfriend is a wonderful person and his introverted personality shines best in small groups. We thought this was a fabulous way to try to make new friends.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am from Appalachia and our people get a bad rap in the media. I would like to show the world-wise that there are cool people from West Virginia.
