Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Heard about couchsurfing from a backpacker I met on the Trans-Siberian in 2008 and it sounded amazing, so here I am. I've been surfing ever since and got to know some wonderful people. Looking forward to being able to start hosting if and when I settle down enough to have my own place - at the moment I live with my family and they're not too comfortable with the idea!

Intereses

Ummm...life? No, seriously, I'm interested in most things, especially if I've never done them before. As far as hobbies go: yoga, snowboarding, surfing, horse-riding, swimming, art, books, movies, I'm sure there are plenty more but I can't think of them right now.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Did not realise how many moments had left me awestruck till I had to choose...The first time I went to Asia, stepping out of the airport and feeling as if I'd stumbled into a different world. Taking the Trans-Siberian Railway to China and watching the culture and people merge from West to East. Going back on the Silk Road and doing the whole thing in reverse. Driving the coast of Australia. Holding a baby kangaroo. Trekking across Tajikistan from the Afghan border to Karakul. And any number of times when I've been somewhere new, stopped for a moment, stared at it and gone "I'm actually *here*?" and not quite been able to believe it...

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I'm a decent cook so I can make you some food if you'd like (I'm veggie though). Or I can help you to practice English, French or Chinese, or teach you to knit. And of course I can always share a big SMILE, a few crazy traveller tales and some good company!
