About Me

most of my friends would probably describe me as patient, almost always smiling, curious and spontaneous. Although getting older I have to admit I get more serious and more settled.

I like getting to know people and food from different cultures, comparing their stereotypes and philosophizing about the "why". For some reason I'm interested in other people's routines.
I prefer going out to bars to chat rather than clubs, could also spend hours visiting historical buildings or art galleries. I am impressed by everything in connection to creativity maybe because I am not the most creative one myself. I enjoy calm evenings with great talks and deep thoughts but sometimes talking about cats or unimportant stuff can also be fun. In warm seasons I am motivated for adventures and like doing things like via ferratas, rafting, canyoning, hiking, would love to learn surfing and so on. I like rocky landscapes, like the Dolomites in italy or the Karanfili/Prokletije in Montenegro. I like rough/rocky coasts but also sand beaches (Tayrona in Colombia, Calanques in France) in Montenegro I also walked a little further out of the cities to visit more "untouched" coastlines. I enjoy seeing massive waterfalls like in the Krka nationalpark in croatia. In dark wintermonth I hide at home, sometimes I invite friends for dinner or movienights to my place but for going out into the wet/dark/cold I need to have a good reason.

Since 2018 I am active in a collective with a cultural place (called Tikozigalpa) where we organize concerts, cinema-evenings, vegan dinners, discussions and workshop about political topics (feminism, antiracism, decolonializm, climate/environmental awareness,.. ), or just DIY stuff (e.g. bike repairing). Would love to get to know some small selforganized alternative places in other cities too. I am also interested in any kind of co-housing, rural or urban doesn't matter.

Together with my boyfriend I have a garden where we grow our own vegetables und collect fruits and berries. Normally I take the "nice work" of setting the plants, harvesting and processing everything. He loves doing the digging, I have no idea why, but I'm glad about that because when it comes to physical work, I like to take the “easy” route if there is one. I would also never understand why someone would do weightlifting “for fun” and not for physical health. Or go on a hike just for the sake of hiking—I need a fantastic view at the end. You know what I mean? Is that already "beeing lazy"? If so, I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Up to that point most of the Couchsurfers I've met were lovely people. Some full of power, some very relaxed, want to have fun, excited to learn other cultures, looking for adventures, open-minded about discovering the world, daring to trust a complete stranger (the host), so kind of still believing in the good in human. And it doesn't matter which age. This community has so much positive energy that I just want to be a part of it! Besides that this is the best way to learn how the everyday life looks like for different individuals, I kind of like to know how others live their everyday life.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
My music taste depends on my mood. Normally it is something like garage, post punk, noise, funk, new wave, rock, crossover music, some oldies from 80s/90s/00s or relaxed guitar music like Jose Gonzales or also the early songs from Ed Sheeran.

MOVIES
Same here: depends on my mood. But in general I like movies with a true story, sometimes about history and politics, a lot of dramatic movies, movies about ill people, about people who risk their life for each other, about people who change completely because of something in their life which gave them a new view to life, good comedy, sometimes typical love-comedys with an happy end, movies with nature catastrophes, adventures, pirates of the caribbean, national treasure, hobbit, the bollywoods with shah rukh khan, good action or thriller....well nearly everything, except of too much science fiction and senseless horror

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

SEE
I once sat in a bus through the dolomites an I saw a man running as hell nacked to the top of a lonely hill, screaming to heaven and raising his arms - I smiled and thought wow, that was his moment to be free, just stunning... or maybe he just lost a bet, who knows!
