I'm a half Canadian, half Norwegian 21 year old who moved to New Zealand to study. After being born in Canada, my mother wanted to move back to her home country, so the year I turned 6 we packed our bags and moved to Norway. There I lived for 15 years until I chose to study in a country I'd never been to before. So I stepped out of my comfort zone and moved alone down to New Zealand, and I'm really happy I did. A an outdoorsy person who loves nature, living in New Zealand is right up my alley. I'll be living here for the next 3 years and want to take the opportunity to travel to all the close countries/places around/in New Zealand.
I have traveled quite a lot, but never alone, so I'm really stepping out of my comfort zone and learning a lot about myself in the process.

I consider myself outgoing, but at the same time a little shy. Once I get more comfortable around new people I become more 'myself'. Otherwise I'm a very kind and helpful person, and I love a good laugh with great people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking for a new way to experience different countries, and what better ways are there other than on a locals couch?

Already done some couchsurfing in Fiji which was really nice!

I'm travelling up to Auckland with my friend for the Laneway festival, so it would be amazing if there were a friendly face out there to help two students out :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is very scattered as I like everything from good 80's rock to more recent music. I don't really have a specific taste as I listen to different music to different moods.

I watch more series than movies, because you get a deeper understanding of the characters and the stories are often better.

As much as I love books, I haven't been able to read one in ages. Hopefully I can find the time to read soon.
