Overview
About Me
I love travelling the world whenever I can and enjoy meeting people and learning about different cultures! I lived about 15 years in Asia: I went to Shanghai to study Chinese as part of my university degree, then worked in Taipei, Hong Kong and Singapore. I recently finished my second studies in alternative medicine so I am always super curious to learn about plants and their healing properties. I enjoy being in nature, meeting people from all over the world and exploring new places. I am a very calm person, don't like to party but love to dance latin dances such as Salsa and Bachata. I have lived many years in the tropics and if the house is not spotlessly clean, animals come in pretty fast, so I am used to being very tidy at home. I am also a vegetarian, don't drink alcohol and don't smoke. I am always happy to share my knowledge on plant medicine to those who are interested. I like outdoor activities such as hiking and camping.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't want to be an ignorant tourist who just goes to the usual places. I like to get to know a place the way the locals do, take local busses and am generally very curious abourt the world.. Many times I have shown my favourite coffee shops, walks through the city or places to visit with people who were new to the place or just visiting. Whilst living in Asia, most people help each other by giving advice to those who are new or looking for information and I thought it would be great to make some new friends through Couch Surfing. If anyone needs travel advice on South East Asia, China, or Berlin I would be very happy to share some insights!

Music, Movies, and Books
i love to dance to latin music, but don't really hear music at home. I always enjoy to be at a friend's place who has a great taste in music!!
My favorite movie so far was the "Hector and the search for happiness"
The last book I read was Elif Shafak, The Fourty Rules of Love
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess mostly while I travelled: i once hiked through the Tibetan plateau in China about 15 years ago where people had never seen foreigners before. It was one of the most intense and unreal experiences I ever made.
