About Me

I'm a 22 year old student who is planning to go travelling in the next few years. I want to graduate from my teaching degree and then (hopefully) travel and teach as I move around and experience different cultures and countries. I've already done a bit of travelling but never for more than a month at a time. The countries I've visited so far are Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Greece.

When I'm at home I usually spend a lot of time with my dogs (they are the reason I won't accept people to stay, one has a major insecurity around people and it isn't fair to him if I have strangers in and out constantly), playing tennis, dancing, attempting to paint/draw and completing work for university.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people from a variety of places before going abroad again so I can learn how to make the most of my experiences abroad. I'd also like to be able to meet up with people who are travelling to share experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to pretty much all music and love being introduced to new genres/artists. I've always had time for rock/alternative music.

I don't watch a lot of movies because they don't interest me. I only watch them as a social activity so I don't really have any favourites.

So far most of the books I've read this year have been academic journals and books so nothing recreational.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered in Swaziland and helped to set up an orphanage but I wouldn't consider it an amazing thing I did independently as it wouldn't have happened without all the support both I and the organisation over there had from people in a fortunate enough position to support us financially. I think I care less about the amazing things I've done as that seems self-centred to me and more about the memories I have of the amazing people and things they've done on my travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a confident baker (English Cuisine primarily) so will be happy to make meals and teach my hosts how to do so if they'd like. I can help with language exchanges, cultural exchanges and will be more than happy to do housework (cleaning/dog walking) if wished.
