As for music-- I enjoy the smooth synthy tunes of Washed Out and the likes of Phoenix, Bombay Bicycle Club, Childbirth, Sylvan Esso, Phantogram, Matisyahu and Childish Gambino on occasion.

Classic books on the shelf and imprinted on the brain include Jane Eyre, Brave New World, and Where the Sidewalk Ends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For a week in 2015 I biked across rural highways in Virginia following the proposed pathway of a natural gas pipeline. The trip was with a group of fellow college kids,and we stayed with local community members who were fighting the pipeline, to muster support and energy and education about the impacts and danger of natural gas infrastructure and the need to refuse to build more fossil fuel infrastructure.
