Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm 34-years-old and have seen very little of the world, especially my own country here in the united states. i've always let the fear of traveling alone and/or a lack of money stop me from experiencing new people, places and things.

after being completely shocked and awed by the results of the most recent presidential election, i vowed to channel my outrage into action and not just sit idly by, behind the confines of a keyboard. in an effort to get out there and join causes that i'm truly passionate about, i decided to check out couch-surfing. i'm hoping to find other like-minded, equally kind people who are willing to give me a safe place to slumber while i make my way out of my comfort zone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

my proudest moment so far has been starting over in a new state, leaving behind everything but my dog and a single suitcase of belongings. less is definitely more. it was cathartic to say the least.
