About Me

CURRENT MISSION

“The Dead Sea in the Middle East receives fresh water, but it has no outlet, so it doesn't pass the water out. It receives beautiful water from the rivers, and the water goes dank. I mean, it just goes bad. And that's why it is the Dead Sea. It receives and does not give. In the end generosity is the best way of becoming more, more, and more joyful.”
― Desmond Tutu, The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World

ABOUT ME

I am now living in San Diego, CA and working at a tech start-up. Before this phase of my life I taught ESL in South Korea and traveled around Asia for several years. I also spent a year on a working holiday in Australia; I worked in the hospitality industry in resorts, on yachts, and on a SCUBA dive boat. In my leisure time I enjoy playing beach volleyball, surfing, yoga, cycling and enjoying good food and drink with friends. I am trying to balance travel with adult life and develop more meaningful relationships now that I am starting to plant roots. I still have the itch though, and am always planning a new adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind. Have character. Learn new things.
