We are on summer holiday. We are unable to host until the beginning of August.

We are both teachers and travelers. From September-May, I have fun with my 10-12 year old students in Spanish. From June-August, my husband, Allen, and I hit the road and travel all summer. We love new adventures, meeting new people, and learning about other cultures. Then I get to bring my experiences back to my classroom to make the world come alive for the kids.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We love sharing and connecting with others around the world. There is no better way to get a feel for a new place than through its people. The Sarasota/Bradenton area is a beautiful place to visit.
As we have a spare room, we thought it would be a good idea to offer up the space to travelers when we can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are relatively new to the Couchsurfing, but have had many experiencing hosting and being hosted outside of Couchsurfing.com. We always have enjoyed the company of all the people who have spent time with us or who have hosted us. The most memorable, it the knowledge shared over conversations of home countries and cultures. And when time permits, we love cooking a delicious meal together.

I love reading. I am part of a book club that meets once a month during the school year. My favorite reads are:

We are really into music. Currently my favorite bands to listen to are:

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking and making new dishes. I'm also game if you want to practice your Spanish (I am a Spanish teacher!)
