Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about "official" couch surfing on NPR and I love it! The whole concept is wonderful. I would much rather meet new people and save money on lodging than stay in a hotel. Eventually I will enjoy hosting too (right now there are 5 of us and a cat in about 800 sq ft).

Interests

I love to listen to books while I clean houses. Cleaning houses is my job. I love yoga, gardening, camping, and my kids and husband. I love movies. When I'm not too tired I will still read a book, or the newspaper, or a magazine. I'm interested in almost everything! In fact, the facts of life easily overwhelm me, so I keep going back to gardening. It's simple and healthy and it gives to everyone.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the theme song from Forrest Gump! And lots of other movie soundtracks. I love Jack Johnson, Belinda Carlisle, Pink and a lot more.

Fried Green Tomatoes is one of my favorite movies, but I recently read the book and I'm shocked at how much they changed it! Still, I love both. I also love Will Ferrel movies.

I read mostly non-fiction. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is a favorite and I think everyone should know her story. Sometimes I read fiction. Right now I'm in the middle of the second book of the Outlander series - and oh man!
