I'm 23 years old, female, Australian. I'm very easygoing. I love to laugh, I really love to make other people laugh. I'm very excited to meet people from all over the world. I welcome this adventure warmly and passionately.

PHILOSOPHY

Wow that's a big one. Life is so short that I think it's important to make the most of it. It's important to me to be proactive, to take life by 'the balls' and put yourself out there to experience things and follow opportunities. It's important that we understand we're all equal in this world and we all need to make each other feel as important and special and respected as an individual in this world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm travelling so I'm a surfer, but when I get settled back home in Australia I welcome other people to repay the favour. There's something very special about the idea of paying it forward, helping out someone in the hope that if the roles are reversed they would do the same for you. I really like that!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before I discovered couchsurfing I actually hosted a few international students in Australia, they would stay with me for a few days/weeks at a time in between their travels so they didn't have to pay rent during the University break. We've become very good friends because of it so it'd be great to keep the tradition. As I'm only new to couchsurfing and to travelling itself my experience is quite small as a surfer but I hope to change that and would be so grateful for any willing hosts to help out.

I love to explore, the idea of following the road less travelled really excites me, I love embarking on little adventures but I also love relaxing and taking it easy. I enjoy going on picnics, listening to music (I love live music and intimate gigs) I love going to festivals, I love reading, watching movies and television and I absolutely love catching up with friends over a few cheeky drinks.

This trip is only just beginning and it is already pretty amazing. I will have a much better understanding of this question after I have completed this journey.

I know how to play the piano and a little of the guitar. I would love to learn how to speak another language. I studied German for a year at University but as I didn't speak the language often enough I have not been able to retain a lot of that knowledge. I would like to be able to say some things in the local tongue to show my respect for that particular country and for the locals.
