About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learning to not have a mission

ABOUT ME

student - i love painting and drawing - can be kind of frantic as well as very sluggish - big lover of literature...i'm a morning person, i open my eyes and am instantly in the mood to sing and dance.
For everything else, just ask, it's the easiest way.

PHILOSOPHY

You can't rollerskate in a buffalo herd.

- Roger Miller -

Don`t be a cloud if you can be the sky,
don't be a feather,
be a bird and fly.
clouds roll by,
but the sky rolls on
and a bird can fly
with a feather gone,
be the bird and the sky and the tree and the deep blue sea,
don't be anything less than ev`rything you can be!

- The cast of The Peanuts -

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I sufed in italy, slovenia and hungary. And i enjoy to host people and show them the green areas and general sights of the "ruhrpott".

Is it called couchsurfing if i crashed couches and let people stay at my place before i was actually a member of this site? If so - i did that.

Interests

I love nature, beeing outside, enjoying the world. I can wander around for hours. Like mentioned, i sketch a lot.
Football, Borussia Dortmund, of course, and i play it myself.

The sea and everthing ocean-related has always been a great interest, not like real scientific interest, more from a romantic point of view. Myths, Yarn and so on. Same with the Middle Ages. And there's something strange going on with me and unicorns and rainbows.

History and politics...languages...philosophy...
And more. I'm generally interested in good stories, regardless of the topic.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The science of sleep - In my father's den - Rent (musical... Lord of the rings, Fear and Loathing in L.V., Trainspotting, garden state...

As for music - punk and ska music as well as folk, rock and songwriter music. Mumford and sons and The Shins are awesome. Also there are always some older tunes from Janis Joplin, the Beatles, Bob Dylan etc. on my mp3 player. Recently i like hip hop and dancehall which i did not for a long time. that came suddenly.

As for books - Death in Venice. I love this story so much.

The last book i read was The Magicians by Lev Grossman, can't wait for the sequel. "Wasted Lives. Modernity and its Outcasts" by Zygmunt Bauman really got me thinking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

watching lava flows going into the ocean at the volcano's national park on the big island of hawaii.
