ABOUT ME

I am currently spending a year abroad teaching English in a German Gymnasium and Grund Schule (high school and elementary school). I enjoy meeting new people, learning new things about our world, experiencing new cultures, and getting to know and learn about new people and their lives by sharing and discussing our own experiences!

Interests

I really just love to meet new people and see new places. I love being near the water (lakes, sea, ocean) but also enjoy winter trips to the mountains. Some activities I've recently become interested in are rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking, and of course studying languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far my most amazing experience was visiting Thailand. I was able to spend 3 weeks in this beautiful and peaceful country and spent time in the North, Central and Southern regions- so I feel like I've seen a lot. I was able to see the palace, go treking in the jungle, visit a Thai tribe, bamboo raft, ride an elephant, see a traditional Thai dance performance, bargain with street vendors, go snorkeling, teach English to Thai high schoolers, and experience Bangkok- the good and the bad. It's so different from my normal day to day life and really opened my eyes to humanity and how are differences really make our world dynamic and beautiful. I really hope to go back again someday!
