I am newly a college graduate and can't wait to get out and see the world! Aspiring physician looking to meet new people, explore nature, and learn a lot during this next phase of my life. Spent the past 4 years working multiple jobs while going to school, volunteering, etc (which I loved), but didn't get much time to experience the beautiful world we live in. Will (hopefully) be traveling a lot during my gap year. Not a fan of "tourist traps" and would love to get to know people/have good conversation.
Love: board games, card games, trying new beers/wines, learning to cook, hiking, biking, DOGS, tea, good coffee/chocolate (who doesn't?), yoga, podcasts, trying new things
NEWS: I was just accepted to medical school for fall of 2019 and I will be quitting my job in January and traveling until I start hopefully!
"Bucket list" for this year: learn how to surf, mountain bike some of the best spots in the US, meet some new dogs, learn how to sail, master a signature dish, rock climb, go whitewater rafting, read for fun, road trip from WI to the west coast

I want to learn to experience the world and places I'm going from the eyes of another, wiser person. Looking for good conversation, a partner to play scattergories with, a fellow explorer to show me their favorite hikes, or just someone to meet up with and drink a few beers. I love meeting new people and am a firm believer that you learn something from everyone you meet, so why not meet a few more and gain a little extra wisdom?

Don't watch as many movies as I should..

Love almost any kind of books. The past 4 years have mainly consisted of chemistry, physics, and biology textbooks, but I'm looking forward to expanding my library in the next year (would love recommendations!). Some books I haven't been able to put down in between classes: anything by Atul Gawande, John Sanford novels, The Nightingale, and All the Light We Cannot See.
