My name is Jen and I am self employed. I love to volunteer my time and I am part of a team that run a beautiful little community centre, I also volunteer locally with homeless and vulnerable adults.

I love to sew and create, and share my skills with others. I enjoy art, music, and dance, and I love outdoor living.

Looking to make new friends and do some travelling, see some things off the beaten track! :)

A friend suggested it as a great way to make some new friends and see a different side of travelling to another country!

Interests

I am creative and love to sew. I like to make clothing and soft furnishings, and I'm obsessed with minature pom poms!
I have a dog who I share pretty much every minute with, although she doesn't travel with me she is my favourite companion in all I do.
I give a lot of time to my community and friends, and I enjoy taking on new projects and learning new skills

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty open to all kinds of music :) as long as it makes me dance it's a winner,
I don't tend to watch a lot of television or films but my favourite has to be Into The Wild. Each time I watch it I take something different from it.
Currently reading the Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer. Her message about being unapologetically yourself is inspirational!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent around a year living in a yurt and long to do it again. The simplicity of the lifestyle and the experience I gained made me see how beautiful and freeing an off-grid lifestyle can be

Teach, Learn, Share

It would be wonderful to learn about anything anyone has to share! I am passionate about others passions and the things that make them tick, and I am accepting of others cultures, beliefs, and ideals.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Seamstressing skills! And maybe some baking :) I have a great soda bread recipe. Some wonderful music and poetry. Knowledge of ethical fibres and fair trade.

And hopefully some beautiful walks with a lot of laughter!
