ABOUT ME

I love adventure and love visiting other countries but there are still many more to be visited. My daughters love to travel too and that gives me extra impetus to pack up to go and visit them!
I will be out of Australia from Sep 28 and will return on Dec 4th but not to this couch. I will update that next year.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in attempting to give everyone a fair go. Everyone can contribute to making life interesting. I think it is important to challenge yourself so that you don't become stagnant. I think that there is too much pressure put on children to achieve really highly in everything.They don't always have a chance to enjoy their childhoods.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sing in a local choir, I am a member and have performed and made costumes for a local drama group. I am not currently in a book club but was a member in one for many years. Our family has hosted an exchange student and volunteered for more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two of my daughters have successfully couch surfed in Australia and in Europe. They encouraged me to join so that there could be a couch available for other travelers.
I had my first couch request a few weeks ago and had a successful, enjoyable visit from a German man on an extended visit to Australia.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I have a really broad interest in books . I can equally enjoy fiction and non-fiction. I tend to find the fantasy genre too unrealistic to be enjoyable..
I like art house movies more than Hollywood blockbusters.
I love the costumes music and dance of stage musicals.I like harmonious music - am not keen on heavy metal or rap.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I've snorkled in less well known areas off the coast of
Queensland and seen vibrantly coloured coral and fish that make most other coral reefs appear lifeless and dead.I have led a fortunate life and experienced many wonderful things too numerous to mention but I am sure they have all contributed to making me the person I am along with a bit of good genetic material as well!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

My daughters and friends look on me as a source for good recipes and great cakes! I am not a trained dress make but sew well from a pattern. I am a good organiser on the larger scale but I'm not particularly tidy. I can make delicious jam and take artistic photos.
