My favourite past times are meeting people and hanging out with fiends, enjoying good food and drink, seeing beautiful places and amazing scenery. When all these things combine, it is the best feeling in the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am all for exchanging skills, experiences, and knowledge. Coachsurfing gives people an amazing opportunity to meet other people from all over the world and get a real insight to their lives and culture, for both hosts and surfers. It is almost impossible to get a real sense of a place unless you can experience it with people who live there and know it. It is also a fantastic opportunity to meet people that otherwise you might never meet!

Interests

I have a wide variety of interests and hobbies. I love many outdoor activities such as hiking, diving, surfing, camping, snorkelling, and sailing. I also really enjoy gardening especially growing my own fruit and vegetables and I love to cook good wholesome home cooked food for friends and family. This is often accompanied by glass of wine or two!
I enjoy going to the theatre, galleries, seeing comedy, and love going to see live music and dancing!
And of course I love travelling. The sights, the sounds, the smells, different customs and traditions, and meeting new people from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as musical taste goes I like all kinds of music from, old rhythm and blues to drum and bass, from Balkan gypsy jazz to punk, and from 70's rock to modern pop.
Again my taste in movies is all over the place, and I like main stream comedy to foreign films and bio pictures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked on glaciers and mountains. Been in desserts and rain forests.
I have been incredibly lucky enough to swim with whale sharks and turtles, but would love to swim with whales.
I know how to sail and own a small boat, but would love to do a long distance ocean crossing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Living in the country, I can pass on some skills in practical tasks, and gardening. I love cooking and always happy to share and learn new recipe ideas and cooking styles. I am definitely up for learning any new skills others can teach me, or inspire me to take up.
