I see life like a river, and I find joy and contentment in moving forward, always finding new experiences, exploring different places and meeting and learning from all types of people from all walks of life. I'm an open minded, well intentioned, positive, nomadic free spirit. Most importantly, I'm just a person like most people are. To quote the Rainbow Family, I value "the freedom and each and the unity of all." I don't think that this applies to just people but everything and everyone that makes up the universe as a whole. I'm passionate about travel, music, yoga, art, poetry, nature, philosophy, and finding beauty in all contexts of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I seek to experience a place in the most intimate, honest, and authentic way possible. I feel that rather than simply staying in a comfortable hotel and being waited on, I'd prefer to be in someones home and meeting like minded people and seeing the natives true way of life. I feel that it is a more well rounded experience. When I am able to offer a place or just company, I love the opportunity to do so. I think it is so important for people to engage one another with positive intentions. As far as I am concerned, all people are on the same team regardless of differing ideologies, backgrounds, or beliefs.

I love all music except for country. Some of my favorite artists include but are not limited to The National, Regina Spektor, Watsky, Kate Nash, Manchester Orchestra, Bright Eyes, The Killers, Death Cab, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Alt-J, Local Natics, The Head and The Heart, Ben Howard, etc.

Some of my favorite movies include anything by Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino, Mary &Max, Never Let Me Go, The Living Wake, Blue Valentine, Scott Pilgrim, (500) Days of Summer, anything with Audrey Hepburn, Perfect Sense, Where the Wild Things Are, Garden State, Little Miss Sunshine, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and so on.

For books I would say On The Road, Looking for Alaska, Sirens of Titan, Letters From Earth, The Pearl, The Color Purple, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once quite three jobs and dropped everything to travel the country with my best friend so we could play music , sleep in his car, and spend some quality time with the ocean that we had grown to miss while we had been living in Denver.
