ABOUT ME
If your nerve deny you, go above your nerve. –Emily Dickinson.
I enjoy adventures and challenges. I'm generally a laid-back person, but with a good dose of ambition. A bit of a paradox at times, I enjoy the safety and joy that comes from being with loved ones at home, however, I come alive when waking up in new countries, being surrounded by a language I don't understand and with a day of exploring ahead of me.
PHILOSOPHY
Always willing to chat about it, especially over a cup of coffee.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've traveled around China and am much obliged to the wonderful hosts I met. I look forward to hosting surfers of my own wherever and in whatever city I land in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had the opportunity to be hosted by some great people. I look forward to 'paying it forward' as a guest and host.
Interests
The joy of the endless pursuit of different people, cultures and countries. Running, cycling, climbing, traveling, hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing, languages, writing, socializing, networking, photography, and my faith.

Music, Movies, and Books
Current books: A Chance to Die by Elisabeth Elliot, 20 Years at Hull House by Jane Addams, Wild by Cheryl Strayed, and Making it Sense of It All by Thomas Morris, also a Brene Brown book. I am usually reading several books at one time and do not have any trouble confusing them.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think I have more to learn than to teach. But, if you'd like an English lesson or advice on where to go in China, I'm your girl.
