ABOUT ME

I like to punctuate routine village life with trips to new places and I endeavor never to get too bored. There is always someone new to talk to if you are open to making new friends and many elderly people like to talk and to listen and have hidden depths. My three great kids- two grown ups and a nine year old- are tolerant of my passionate ups and downs and accept my slight eccentricities because I like to cook and be hospitable.

Travel writing trips keep life interesting and can be a welcome relief from Scottish Highland weather. Interesting people who can think creatively beyond the bounds of convention are to be treasured. Water based activities like swimming, sailing and kayaking are good fun. Travelling by horse, bicycle or Shanks's Pony offer a good vantage point from which to explore new places and learning about different cuisines opens doors to other cultures.
