About Me

I am a gardener with itchy feet (though a little less itchy as Im getting older) and a passion for plants, people and animals. I moved back to my hometown after years away, to spend more time in nature and with my close ones.

My time is mostly spent with family and friends, going to the gym, watching series, growing things and reading books. I studied sustainbility but somehow ended up in social work. I usually work office hours but work from home some days and try to take as much time off work as I possibly can.

I live in a small apartment a 25 mins uphill walk from the train station. I also have a cozy summer house in the woods 30 mins drive from town, where I spend a large part of the summer season. The summer house is my place for going crazy with gardening and other, more or less, successful diy projects. You’re most welcome to join me there, when I’m there :)

I am quite an introvert (though a fairly social one) who prefer one-on-one conversations over large groups, but I do enjoy dinners with friends, clubbing, going to art exhibitions, concerts etc. once in a while.

When I travel I want to experience the true essence of a place - history, people, mentality, culture, food, gardens, exhibitions, music, litterature etc. Not so much into the touristy spots, that’s why I prefer to meet up with locals :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To connect with people, experience different cultures, world views and get new experiences.

As I’ve usually travelled on a low budget, CS has also been a way for cutting down expenses and I and want to give the same opportunity to my visitors (and Sweden is expensive!).

During trips to India I have stayed with some awesome hosts and met a bunch of really cool people, both locals and fellow tourists through Hangouts.

In Sweden, I’ve hosted a few travellers in my home and it’s been the second best thing to travelling myself. CS has been a great way to make new friends, experience new places and try new food :)

Interests

I’m easily entertained. Love going to cafés in new places and just watch people, go for walks, try new food, watch movies, yoga and working out, nature, meditation, roadtrips, camping, dining, clubbing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My travels have all been amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m always up for to try something new - as long as it doesn’t involve heights!
I’m a terrible dancer but would like to learn :)
I would love to learn a new language, just not sure which one!

I am happy to share whatever I have, and whatever knowledge I may have about gardening and bodywork.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you host me, I am happy to help you around the house, participate in cooking, take you out for dinner, listen to all your stories and probably share some too :)

I’m flexible and adaptable and will try my best to be mindful of your time, space and belongings.
